Girl Talk: Are You Subscribed to Him Like You Are Subscribed To Netflix?

Dating can be fun and exciting at the beginning. You know, when you two first meet each other, go on dates, have shallow conversations, and both of your representatives are working full time.

Well, eventually your representatives clock out and the real you stand up. The real him comes out and you see who he really is and not who he has pretended to be.

By this time, you have told all your girls about him, been to each other home, visualize your wedding and future, named the children that ya’ll have together, and planned to get matching tattoos.

Here comes that one fateful day when he pisses you off and you finally see him for who he is. You see that he’s selfish, insecure, miserable, inconsiderate, playing games, controlling, manipulative, or just not who he said he was.

But you told all your friends about how great of a man he is and you visualize your future together so you decide that you are going to stay subscribed to him and the vision that you have created for you two.

For example, there was someone that I was dating this one time. He was saying everything that I wanted to hear at the beginning. Months went by and he was still playing this role until this one faithful day I spoke with him and he seemed like a totally different person.

The complaining started, the negativity spoke loud and clear but I thought maybe he was just having a bad day and brushed it off. A few weeks later, my phone started buzzing with multiple text messages that sound like “I don’t need this negativity in my life” “I’m in a positive place and need only positivity in my circle”. Well sis, I was only checking in on him and trying to help him with a situation that he was dealing with at the time.

The light eventually shined on him and the truth came out that all those perfect things he was saying were complete lies. There was another chick involved and after finding that out I canceled my subscription to that foolishness.

Staying subscribed to his bull diminishes your worth, sis. You were secure until you bonded yourself with an insecure man. You were joyful, helpful, and loving until you bonded yourself with a miserable, controlling, abusive man. You were living your best life, venturing out into new areas, and progressing quickly until you bonded yourself with a selfish, manipulating, closed minded man.

Sis, you were divinely created, fearfully and wonderfully made, and your worth is absolutely priceless.
