At the beginning stages of your business of course you are excited but are you ready? First things first pray over your business because you will need strength, endurance, and guidance throughout your time as an entrepreneur.
Be sure to set your goals for your business; revenue goals, marketing goals, traffic goals, and even offline-marketing goals. Set SMART goals which are Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Time-Based goals. Basically this means that when you are setting these goals, you are not just writing down “Make 10k dollars”. That is not a specific nor time based goal. To make this a SMART goal you want to put down “Make 10k dollars selling women’s denim jackets by June 1st. To obtain this goal I will run Facebook and Instagram ads with a daily budget of x a day, using blank photo(s).”
Plan your year out so you are prepared in advance as much as possible. Plan out those summer months, holiday times, and your sales in advance so you are prepared well before the time comes around.
Work hard because you are what’s keeping this business going but take time out for yourself. Be grateful and thankful, a heart of gratitude will take you far.
And lastly, don’t forget to celebrate your wins big or small along the journey.
