Question of the day: Is Being an Introvert Holding Back Your Business?

I often hear a lot of people say that they are an introvert and then they ask how do you get out there and create a life that I love and be an introvert. So let’s start with what is an introvert. According to Google, the definition of an introvert is a “shy, reticent person”. Shy means “being reserved or having or showing nervousness or timidity in the company of other people.” And reticent means “not revealing one’s thoughts or feelings readily”.

So basically an introvert is a person that’s a reserved person that’s nervous and timid around other people and doesn’t reveal their thoughts and feelings. So when you break that word down an introvert is typically a person that likes to work alone which is understandable but it shouldn’t be to the point where you are holding your business back.

To give you an example a lot of people don’t like the idea of doing live videos. But when you think about it you are at home and not around other people.

So what’s holding you back?

I completely understand getting out and networking because that can be a little awkward at times. But if I were to ask you, what’s more important to you, your business success or your ability to stay strong to your introvert lifestyle, I think that you will say your business success.

Thank God for social media, because honestly the social media developers and gurus have created a way for you to get out there and share your greatness with THE WORLD without even leaving your home. So that means you Ms. (Mrs.) or Mr. Introvert can get out there and be great from a screen and skip the motivational speeches you give to yourself in the mirror before leaving the house.
